Named after the Tarangire River—the only permanent water source for the region’s wildlife during the dry season—Tarangire National Park stands out for its diverse vegetation, which differs from other parks in the northern safari circuit. Established in 1970, the park supports a large concentration of wildlife, including large mammals and hundreds of bird species.
