From the calving grounds of the Ndutu Plains to the dramatic river crossings at the Mara River, your stay with us will be a journey through the life cycles of the Serengeti’s fauna. For those craving solitude, our Explorer Style Mobile Camp offers an exclusive-use tented experience, perfect for private groups or families who wish to tailor their adventure.

Location:

• Northern Serengeti: Our Serengeti North Wilderness Camp is strategically located in the Kogatende area, a serene spot away from the hustle of more crowded safari zones. This region is particularly enchanting from July to October during the peak of the wildebeest migration, where you can witness the thrilling river crossings at the Mara River. Yet, the area is rich with wildlife year-round, from elephants and leopards to gazelles and zebras.
• Access:
  • Fly-in Safaris: The camp is just a 20-30 minute drive from Kogatende airstrip, making it easily accessible by air.
  • Drive-in Safaris: A full day’s drive from the Southern Serengeti or a 12-hour drive from Arusha. We recommend breaking your journey with a night at our Central Camp to ease the travel and enhance your overall experience.
• Seasonal Presence: The camp is operational from July to October, aligning with the migration’s prime time, though the area is a wildlife haven throughout the year.

Accommodation:

• Tent Layout: Each of our ten spacious tents is a haven of comfort, set apart for privacy and surrounded by the natural beauty of the Serengeti. They feature:
  • Interior: Comfortably furnished with beds, mosquito nets, and a small lounge area.
  • En-suite Bathroom: Each tent includes a vanity basin, gravity-fed shower, and toilet, ensuring your comfort in the wild.
  • Veranda: An optional netted section allows you to enjoy the outdoors while protected from insects.

• Family Tent: On request, we offer a tent for families, providing additional space for comfort and togetherness.
• Service: Wake up to fresh tea or coffee delivered to your tent, enjoy your morning on your private verandah, and feel the day begin with the Serengeti’s natural symphony.

• Dining: Our dining tent serves fresh, seasonal cuisine, with meals often enjoyed under the stars. Local drinks are included, and your guide can join you, enhancing the communal spirit of the safari.
• Lounge Tent: A place to relax with a well-stocked bar for sundowners, offering views of the surrounding bush. It also includes a small library of maps, books, and games for your leisure.
• Campfire: A nightly ritual where guests gather for sundowners, snacks, and storytelling, fostering a sense of community under the African sky.
• Photo Den: For photography enthusiasts, we can set up a den with charging points and space for editing and sharing tips.
• Connectivity: Free WiFi in communal areas (soon to be camp-wide) keeps you connected when you choose, or disconnected when you prefer to immerse fully in the wilderness.
